After a fabulous summer of film you’d think it can’t get better right?! Well think again! As we approach Autumn we can’t think of anything more lush than a cosy trip out to the cinema at The RDC – and a cheeky bite to eat of course!

Here’s a look at some of out top picks this September. Remember to head over to www.odeon.co.uk to view film times or to book.

THE NUN (15)

Release date: 6th September

‘The Nun’ follows the haunting journey of a priest and a novitiate as they are dispatched to an abbey in Romania, where a young nun has taken her own life.

Sent there by the Vatican to try and uncover the truth of what happened, they discover the unholy secret of the place. At the risk of their lives – and their souls – they are forced to confront a terrible evil.

The latest instalment in the ‘Conjuring’ franchise, ‘The Nun’ reveals the truth behind the demonic figure that menaced Ed and Lorraine Warren in ‘The Conjuring 2’.

THE PREDATOR

Release date: 14th September (previews 12th and 13th)

‘The Predator’ sees the iconic alien hunter come back to Earth searching for a new clutch of kills, and this time… it’s landed in a quiet suburban neighbourhood.

You’ll never see ‘The Predator’ coming in this eagerly-anticipated sequel to the action classic, written and directed by Shane Black. If it bleeds, they can kill it.

AMERICAN ANIMALS (15)

Release date: 7th September

American Animals’ is the unbelievable true story of four friends, going about their daily lives, who decide to attempt one of the most daring art heists in US history.

A critically-acclaimed heist thriller, ‘American Animals’ stars Evan Peters, Barry Keoghan, Blake Jenner and Jared Abrahamson.

KING OF THIEVES (15)

Release date: 14th September

‘King Of Thieves’ chronicles the true story of the Hatton Garden jewellery heist, in which a group of retired criminals in their 60s and 70s made off with £200 million. Police initially believed that the robbery had been undertaken by a gang of super-thieves… but it turned out that they were mostly just unoccupied and bored, looking for one last hurrah.

A thrilling – and hard to believe – true story, ‘King Of Thieves’ boasts an all-star cast including Michael Caine, Ray Winstone and Jim Broadbent.

CRAZY RICH ASIANS (12A)

Release date: 14th September

When Rachel goes to Singapore with her boyfriend for his friend’s wedding, she discovers that he’s from a family of ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ – and lots of other women want him.

It turns out that he’s possibly the most eligible bachelor in the area, and every single woman is incredibly jealous of Rachel. They’re willing to do whatever it takes to bring her down, but Rachel isn’t going to back down easily.

Based on the bestselling novel, enter a world of ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ starring Constance Wu, Michelle Yeoh and Gemma Chan.

THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS (12A)

Release date: 21st September (previews 15th and 16th)

In the tradition of Amblin classics where fantastical events occur in the most unexpected places, Jack Black and Cate Blanchett star in The House with a Clock in Its Walls. A film for the whole family, this magical adventure tells the tale of 10-year-old Lewis, an orphan who is sent to live with his Uncle Jonathan in a creaky old house. But his new home is far from ordinary and soon reveals a secret world of warlocks and witches. The house is enchanted, and Lewis must join his uncle on a quest to discover the source of a mysterious ticking within its walls.

MILE 22

Release date: 21st September

‘Mile 22’ follows an elite American intelligence agent who takes on a dangerous new mission: to help smuggle a police officer with sensitive information out of a foreign country.

Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg reunite for ‘Mile 22’, which also stars John Malkovich, Ronda Rousey and Iko Uwais.

NIGHT SCHOOL

Release date: 29th September

A man’s life takes an unexpected turn when he accidentally blows up his place of employment. Forced to attend night school to get his GED, he must now deal with a group of misfit students and a feisty teacher who doesn’t think he’s too bright.
