I thought as pumpkin season is well upon us, what more could I do to scare the cobwebs away then watch an evil clown kidnapping children down sewer and drain pipes at the cinema? A classic book, a wild horror story which has been terrifying readers for decades, so yeah, I went and booked tickets to see the brand new film ‘IT’ in it’s fullest, blood-curdling glory at the IMAX! If it wasn’t for the central gang of bike-riding kids who save the day (think Stranger Things) this killer clown and his leprous zombie murdering accomplices would still be giving me nightmares. It sounds hilarious and totally ridiculous, which at points it was, but THANK GOODNESS, something different, not ANOTHER ‘Saw’ sequal.
This is the PERFECT way to warm up for Halloween next month if you’re anything like me. Get down to The Red Dragon Centre with your mates, or a date and book ‘IT’, I fully recommend a feed after to slow the heart rate down! There are some brilliant restaurants inside the RDC, you might even need something a bit stronger… in that case the Hollywood Bowl bowl bar it is! I was lucky enough to see it with a group of mate’s, one of which we laughed at endlessly for hiding behind her coat for most of it. She was still traumatized and white as a ghost an hour after as we were tucking into burger and chips in Five Guys. Poor girl. I feel a Polly-prank coming on…
If perhaps you aren’t quite ready for the distress and torment of what one clown can do to the mind, I also can’t wait to watch the new Kingsman movie! Perfect for an Autumn evening out!
