This Easter bank holiday weekend is going to be different for so many of us. Although we are unfortunately closed due to the current coronavirus pandemic, we have come up with several ways you can still enjoy a cracking Easter weekend at home with your family.
Listen to Capital FM
Have a disco and boogie along to Josh and Kally’s stay at home hits this weekend as Capital FM plays the best, chart-topping hits! You can also challenge Kally in fun games such as Know It All and simply enjoy the hosts chatting about everything but coronavirus.
Watch the new Trolls movie
Grab the popcorn and dim the lights – turn your living room into a home cinema and pretend you’re at the ODEON with a great family film. Trolls World Tour, the latest instalment of the hit Trolls film franchise, is now available on demand from Amazon Prime, Sky Store, iTunes and Google Play.
Enjoy a good story
We’ve joined forces with one of the UK’s leading children’s storytellers Danyah Miller who is creating unique bedtime stories for children aged between 3 and 8 on YouTube. Click here to enjoy her latest tales and don’t forget to tune in every Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm for the live sessions.
Indulge with delicious treats
Take inspiration from Cadwaladers and add some delicious Easter treats to your home menu this weekend. Enhance your hot drinks or ice creams with Creme Eggs or other holiday-themed chocolates. Other Easter favourites you can tuck into are Hot Cross Buns, Simnel Cake or easy chocolate nest cakes filled with Mini Eggs.
Put on a fashion show
As the schools closed ahead of the holidays, many children will have missed the chance to take part in Easter Bonnet parades. Get creative and decorate a hat with eggs, chicks, rabbits and more before heading down the catwalk of your living room or garden. Parents can get involved too as the paparazzi, snapping shots of their children’s creations from the exclusive ‘Home Fashion Week’ front row.
Have a stay at home dinner party
Recreate the restaurant experience with Bella Italia’s Spring specials, easy to follow recipes to bring the taste and tradition of Italy to your own home. From setting the table to dressing up for dinner, it’s the perfect opportunity to bond with your family and make staying home an occasion to celebrate.
Hold an Easter Egg hunt
No Easter weekend is complete without an Easter Egg hunt. Hide the eggs around your home or garden in safe, accessible places. You can provide clues from the Easter Bunny to help your children as they hunt for their chocolate treasure.
Paint a Rainbow
Across the World, children have been making & displaying rainbow pictures in their windows at home to spread smiles & hope. Help us spread the cheer further by sharing your creations with us! We will publish your fab designs on our social media pages for all to enjoy.
