Kally and I always feel lucky that our studios are right in the centre of Cardiff Bay, at the Red Dragon Centre!
Not only does it mean we can wave at everyone that walks past whilst we are on air but it also provides an amazing location for filming show content. We create a lot of videos for social media alongside what we do on the radio and The Red Dragon Centre provide a long list of awesome locations.
We’ve filmed Valentine’s Day scenes at Bella Italia and The Tavern, Halloween pranks at Odeon Cinemas, January diets at Five Guys and Simply Gym, and even some Rugby videos at Hollywood Bowl – don’t ask! All will be revealed during the World Cup.
We have a long list of other exciting things coming out really soon, where you’ll often spot RDC as our location. So keep your eyes on @CapSouthWales on Insta, Facebook and Twitter!
On top of spending my working life here, I’ve also made a fair few trips to the centre in my spare time over the last few months. Odeon do a brilliant £5 per person offer which I’ve taken advantage of. Lion King, Toy Story and Secret Life of Pets were all AWESOME. And before you ask, no I don’t have kids!
Plus Cadwaladers provided some pretty incredible ice cream sundaes before the film, whilst we checked out the awesome balloon fiesta that was displayed across the centre, during the August bank holiday weekend.
