The news is out!
The Cardiff Bay Gingerbread Trail, will be taking over The Red Dragon Centre and some of your favourite hotspots here in Cardiff Bay for some festive fun from 1 Dec until 8 January 2023.
The Trail, which is new for 2022, will invite participants to find and collect all the letters on the sculptures and then unscramble them to spell out a festive word! The puzzle can be completed in English or Welsh, either in one of the booklets available at participating venues or online at www.visitcardiffbay.info from 1 December.
The prize, which will be drawn from all the correct entries after the trail has ended, will include a stay and play in Cardiff Bay for one lucky family! Trail seekers are also being invited their #BayGingerbreadTrail selfies for a chance to win spot prizes from many of the Bay’s top attractions, including venues from The Red Dragon Centre.
In total there will be nine ‘sweet’ gingerbread statues spread around the Bay and a gingerbread sleigh taking centre stage in Roald Dahl Plass. There is also a Gingerbread Day in the Bay planned for 3 December where visitors are invited to take part in a number of fun, family activities.

The Red Dragon Centre
Hi Marie thank you so much for getting in touch. The Cardiff Bay Gingerbread Trail is running between 1 Dec and 8 Jan – there is no starting place as the aim is to collect the letters on all of the sculptures and then unscramble them so in theory you can start anywhere. The Trail booklets will be available at all participating venues or the activity can be completed online – this will go live on http://www.visitcardiffbay.info from 1st December. In addition, info about the Gingerbread Day in the Bay activities will shortly be released so keep posted!
Sorry to hear you are having problems with the ODEON website – i’m afraid this is managed externally by ODEON direct so we would recommend you contact them directly for further support.
Best wishes – Team Red Dragon Centre
