This Christmas, we’re going the extra mile to spread comfort and joy.
In addition to celebrating the magic of winter with the Cardiff Bay Snow Trail and special events, we have also launched a seasonal coat appeal for local children.
Sadly, demand for warm outerwear from local charities has increased by 30% across Cardiff in the latest year and this is only expected to increase significantly as the temperatures drop. We believe every child deserves to be safe and warm all year round, which is why we have partnered with local school uniform charity, A Better Fit, to collect Coats4Kids in the Diff.
From 15 November – 8 January (excl Christmas Day), our festive Giving Tree will be accepting donations of new, unwanted, and preloved children’s coats – from puffer to parka, duffle to down, all coats (ages 0-16 years) in good condition are welcome!
- Donate Financially
Don’t have a spare coat but still want to help? We are also welcoming financial donations to go towards the purchase of additional warm wear such as hats, gloves and scarves for local families – click here to donate via our Givetap page.
- Ask for Coat
If you find yourself struggling to afford a new uniform or a winter coat for a child, then please get in touch with A Better Fit here.
