Pupils from Mount Stuart Primary School visited the Red Dragon Centre last month to participate in a workshop surrounding the A Dog’s Trail Snoopy sculpture, which was recently housed at the Centre as part of the 8-week long trail.
Dogs Trusts’ A Dog’s Trail is a public art trail which sees intricately designed Snoopy sculptures placed across the city for the public to find. The Red Dragon Centre has been host to Snoop Draig, a Snoopy designed by local artist Sophie Galliers, for the last eight weeks.
Sophie visited the Centre to speak to pupils from years one and six classes from Mount Stuart Primary School, telling them how her inspiration for Snoop Draig was the national red dragon emblem of Wales, portraying Welsh pride and power.
The pupils completed a fun artistic activity supported by Sophie and were gifted a batch of The Red Dragon Centre’s Birthday Bloom sunflower seeds to grow and look after on school grounds.
