Autumn is finally arriving on 23rd September, and here at The Red Dragon Centre we can’t wait! If you’re starting to get the autumn blues now that summer is nearly over, get rid of them by reading on to find out why autumn is going to be the best season yet here at the Centre:
1. A Movie to Remember
Autumn is bringing us a whole load of new film premieres, and you can watch them all here from just £5 each all day, every day*. To take your ODEON experience to the next level, The Red Dragon Centre is home to the only IMAX screen in the whole of South Wales offering stunning high-definition images and incredible digital audio. You can even watch your film faves from our luxury Gallery VIP area enjoying unlimited soft drinks, nachos and popcorn in extra comfy seats!
Hitting the big screen on 11 October is Abominable; a fun-filled animated adventure starring a young Yeti. More family fun comes your way on 18 October with the Shaun the Sheep Movie; Farmageddon, and fairy tale sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
For grownups wanting a little more action, released on 4 October, the stand-alone film about Batman’s arch-nemesis, Joker would be perfect. Or, from the 11 October, the cult classic comedy-horror Zombieland returns to the big screen in Zombieland: Double-Tap!
2. VIP lanes have landed at Hollywood Bowl
Our new VIP lanes are here! The Hollywood legend themed private lanes have lounge seating, superstar pool-like balls and funky coloured pins, alongside a personal screen that shows your action replays and selfies. You’ll also get waited on hand and foot by your attentive lane host, who’ll be at your beck and call to make sure you really have the ultimate bowling experience! 3. Halloween Celebrations
We’re creeping it real at the RDC this Halloween and transforming our Green Zone into a fang-tastic Spooky Zone! There’ll be scary skeletons sprawling on the boo-tiful zone’s sofa and a pair of wicked witches complete with their cauldron.
Take caution as you wander around the Centre as you’ll be surrounded by pumpkins, spiders and ghosts – all made out of 100% natural latex balloons!
We’re also partnering with The Wildlife Trust to host free lantern making workshops using leaves and recycled jam jars. From Tuesday 29 to Thursday 31 October between 12pm-4pm, your little ones can learn all about leaf identification, whilst making spooky lanterns covered in bats! (Don’t worry, they won’t be real, they’ll only be silhouettes!)
4. Autumn menus are here!
Goodbye Summer, hello autumn! That means it’s time to say hello to hearty food in our restaurants with the return of their autumn menus. Spice Route and Oriental Garden will warm your bellies – and fill them – with their authentic all-you-can-eat buffets, while Bella Italia’s pastas and pizzas are perfect for this time of year and Five Guys’ Beef Dogs and burgers would go down a treat on Bonfire Night.
The drinks are getting in on the autumn action too with Cadwaladers bringing back their popular Pumpkin Spice Latte!
Out go the flowery fresh summer dishes, and in comes the warming comfort food and drink, just before Christmas comes around…
5. Christmas!
OK, so this one might technically be in Winter, not Autumn, but Christmas is coming sooner than you think! In fact, the restaurants in our centre have already released their festive menus and deals to make sure you have your yummiest Christmas yet!
