I can’t remember the last time I was so excited for a Sunday night. In the morning I came to work at Capital FM and was on-air until 4pm and straight after I planned to go out. Amazingly my 3 best mates were off as as well so we decided to make this particular Sunday night our date night and of course we chose an evening at The Red Dragon Centre. It’s a rare thing that we manage to get all of us together, so naturally I dressed up for occasion. I did the show in my glad rags, full face of make-up, chomping at the bit in readiness for my evening with the gals in tow.
We had not been to the casino for years so that was our first port of call. We went along to Grosvenor, joined up and had a brilliant time from the get go. The staff were very friendly and although we came out a little light in the pocket, we had a great night. The real win for us was the food and drinks and just being in great company! The bright lights from the machines, the music and sweet tasting cocktails inspired us to actually almost book a trip to Vegas! A girls night and alcohol can be dangerous but exciting combo.
Before we were about to drop more money by clicking ‘confirm’ on the Vegas trip we hot-stepped it over to the Odeon to catch a late showing! Our choice of film was ‘I, Tonya’ with the luscious Margot Robbie portraying a famous American Ice Skater. I find this often than not whilst watching films at the Odeon, the atmosphere is so comfy and chilled out I fall into a dream world myself and straight after the film, at our de-brief session in the toilets we all decided we now wanted to take up ice-skating. Haha!
After such a funny night with the girls, feeling giddy, full to brim of pic’n’mix and popcorn, catching up on all the gossip, there was only one final thing we had to do to mark such an awesome night of coming together. The photo booth in Hollywood Bowl. It could have been about midnight by the time we were done but at least now we have some amazing memories of such a wonderful Sunday session with the ladies.
