Is Father Christmas the Last Jedi?

| by | News

With excitement already building ahead of the premier of the latest film in the Star Wars franchise, The Red Dragon Centre is helping add to the anticipation with a Christmas display worthy of the Jedi High Council!

Exactly a month before the film is released, we are thrilled to unveil our annual Christmas display, with a difference. With speculation rife as to who will be the ‘Last Jedi’ alluded to in the film’s title, we have decided that with his magical abilities, Father Christmas is as good a candidate as any and given the globe-trotting gift giver his very own light saber!

The Saber-wielding Santa Claus is riding a light up reindeer and towers over 5m high in his prime spot within The Centre.

Emma Constantinou, Marketing Manager for The Red Dragon Centre said: “The Jedi are renowned for their inexplicable powers, as is Father Christmas so this seems like a natural match.

“With Christmas trees already up around Cardiff Bay, the festive anticipation is building but for some Star Wars fans, their excitement about the new film trumps their excitement about Christmas. It’s our hope that with so much happening in The Red Dragon Centre in November and December, Star Wars enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds.”

With the only digital IMAX® screen in South Wales at ODEON in The Red Dragon Centre, tickets are already selling fast. Tickets are available for the special night-time screenings of the new film at 00.01am on 15th December in both 2D and IMAX®. Free online booking makes it easy to bag your seats to the ultimate mortal movie and for a thrilling treat, cinema goers can upgrade to the luxury Gallery VIP area and enjoy unlimited popcorn and soft drinks.
