| by | News

It may be the month of April Fools, but we’re certainly not kidding when we say some of the films coming to ODEON this April are nothing short of exciting! Here’s some of our top picks:

A QUIET PLACE (15)

Release date: 5th April

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski star in ‘A Quiet Place’, a nerve-wracking horror about this family’s desperate struggle to stay safe and silent.

LOVE, SIMON (12A)

Release date: 6th April

‘Love, Simon’ is the story of a seventeen-year-old who’s just like everyone else at his school, except for his big secret: he hasn’t told anyone he’s gay yet.

The producers of ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ bring us ‘Love, Simon’, a heartwarming comedy drama about coming to terms with who you are.

WONDERSTRUCK

Release date: 6th April

‘Wonderstruck’ follows the parallel adventures of Ben and Rose, two children from different eras who secretly wish their lives were different, and go on journeys to try and change them.

From the acclaimed director of ‘Carol’, ‘Wonderstruck’ is a captivating drama starring Oakes Fegley, Millicent Simmonds and Julianne Moore.

GHOST STORIES (15)

Release date: 6th April

Philip Goodman, professor of psychology and arch-sceptic, has his rationality seriously tested when he receives a letter, apparently from beyond the grave, tasking him with investigating three ‘Ghost Stories’.

A critically-acclaimed supernatural chiller, ‘Ghost Stories’ tells a triptych of terrifying tales and stars Martin Freeman and Paul Whitehouse.

DEATH WISH (18)

Release date: 6th April

‘Death Wish’ is the story of Dr Paul Kersey, a dedicated family man who takes the law into his own hands after his family is attacked by home invaders.
The police aren’t able to help, so Paul takes to the streets as a vigilante to mete out the justice he’s been denied. Before long, his exploits go viral, earning him the nickname “Grim Reaper” and a reputation as the city’s folk hero.

Bruce Willis stars in ‘Death Wish’, an exhilarating remake of the classic revenge thriller.

RAMPAGE (12A)

Release date: 13th April (previews 11th and 12th)

Davis Okoye prefers spending time with animals than people, and his best friend is a gorilla called George. But a rogue genetic experiment mutates George, sending him on the ‘Rampage’.

As George grows bigger, stronger and fiercer, he begins to cause serious damage. And then Davis discovers that he wasn’t the only animal affected by the experiment… Now, not only does Davis have to save the world, he needs to save the fearsome creature that used to be his friend.

Dwayne Johnson reunites with his director from ‘San Andreas’ for ‘Rampage’, a spectacular giant monster film that also stars Naomie Harris.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Release date: 26th April

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ sees Thanos, one of the most powerful beings in the cosmos, arrive on Earth on his quest to balance the universe. Only the Avengers can stop him.

A gargantuan superhero spectacular a decade in the making, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ unites heroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe for their most devastating battle yet.
